The Hinsdale Chamber of Commerce's Uniquely Thursdays concert series closed out its Thursday-night schedule on Aug. 13 with Sparks Fly, a Taylor Swift tribute band featuring vocalist Samantha Jo, at Burlington Park. But the summer isn't quite over for downtown businesses that count on the weekly crowds: a bonus makeup show featuring 7th Heaven is set for Wednesday, Aug. 19.

The band was rained out on June 11, the series' opening night. Severe weather forced a cancellation that evening, and Village President Greg Hart posted the news on X, telling residents the series would resume the following week.

Now 7th Heaven gets a second shot in what the Chamber is calling a "Uniquely Thursday but on Wednesday" performance, according to The Hinsdalean. The show runs from 6 to 9 p.m. at Burlington Park, 30 E. Chicago Ave.

The 10-week series ran every Thursday from June 11 through Aug. 13, featuring food trucks including Dave's Holy Smokes BBQ, Polish Shack, UNI UNI Bubble Tea and Windy City Burger Social Club. Beer, wine and giveaways rounded out the weekly draw, according to the Chamber's event listing.

For Washington Street corridor shops and restaurants, the Thursday concerts have been a reliable foot-traffic draw all summer. Hart announced the 10-week series at the June 9 Village Board meeting, calling on residents to participate and support local businesses.

The Aug. 19 show also marks the last event at Burlington Park before construction begins on a new $526,000 privately funded pavilion. The Chamber committed $100,000 toward the project, which held a groundbreaking ceremony July 4. Construction is scheduled to begin after the concert series concludes.

"It will be a permanent gathering place for concerts, performances, ice cream socials, celebrations and community events for generations to come," Hart said at the July 4 ceremony.

After Wednesday's finale, the next community event at Burlington Park is the 72nd Annual Ice Cream Social on Sunday, Aug. 30.
