UChicago Medicine AdventHealth, Hinsdale's largest employer with more than 1,350 employees at its Oak Street campus, will run first-aid operations for as many as 25,000 golf fans per day when the Presidents Cup comes to Medinah Country Club in September.
The health system announced Wednesday, July 9, that it has been named the Official Fan Healthcare Provider for the 2026 Presidents Cup, the PGA Tour's biennial U.S.-versus-International team competition. The six-day event runs Tuesday, Sept. 22, through Sunday, Sept. 27, at Medinah's Course No. 3, roughly 10 miles north of the Hinsdale hospital.
The partnership puts AdventHealth's brand on four first-aid stations spread across the course, a centralized first-aid headquarters, 12 sunscreen dispensers, and a climate-controlled Family Care Suite with seating and amenities for families with young children. Staff will also provide on-site and on-call medical support for players and PGA Tour officials throughout the week.
Dr. Monica Reed, president and CEO of UChicago Medicine AdventHealth, called the event an opportunity to extend care beyond the hospital campus. The health system has not disclosed how many employees will be assigned to the tournament or the financial terms of the deal.
General admission tickets start at $39, according to the Presidents Cup website. Children 15 and under enter free with a ticketed adult.
Broader marketing push
The Presidents Cup deal adds to a growing list of regional sports sponsorships for AdventHealth, which also signed on as official healthcare provider at Chicagoland Speedway in 2026. The system employs more than 80,000 people nationally.
AdventHealth's foundation also scheduled its annual golf fundraiser for Monday, Sept. 28, at Cog Hill Golf & Country Club, the day after the Presidents Cup concludes.
What's next
Medinah's Course No. 3 reopened in 2024 after a full renovation by OCM Golf ahead of the Presidents Cup. The U.S. team, captained by Brandt Snedeker, enters having won 10 consecutive Presidents Cups.
Throughout September, co-branded Presidents Cup and AdventHealth baby onesies and blankets will be gifted to newborns at participating system hospitals, including the Hinsdale campus, which delivers more than 150 babies per month.
