A breakfast-and-lunch restaurant called Aria's has opened at 590 Village Center Drive in Burr Ridge. The shopping center lost two restaurants, Yolk in 2025 and Wok n Fire in 2026, leaving a gap in morning dining options.

Owner Bryan Sord told Patch, which first reported the opening, that everything on the menu is cooked to order. "My food is 100 percent freshly made," Sord said in a Thursday, Oct. 15, interview. "Everything we do here is prepared by order."

Sord named the restaurant after his 2-year-old granddaughter.

Aria's occupies the space where Wok n Fire, an Asian-inspired restaurant, operated for 16 years before closing. That chain, which started in 2002, still has locations in St. Charles and Barrington.

Before Wok n Fire shut down, the Yolk breakfast chain closed its Burr Ridge location at 595 Village Center Drive in 2025 after about two and a half years. Burr Ridge Mayor Gary Grasso and others had celebrated Yolk's opening in a public ceremony in May 2022, according to Patch.

Aria's is open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. The breakfast menu includes stuffed French toast, omelets and several eggs Benedict options. Burgers anchor the lunch side. The restaurant also serves cocktails. Prices on the restaurant's website range from $15 for a burger to $28 for certain Benedict and skillet dishes.

Sord is a veteran restaurateur. He previously owned 94 West in Orland Park and opened restaurants in Las Vegas with his son Nicholas, according to KTNV. His father, John Sord, ran a Chicago restaurant called The Candlelight Lodge dating to 1959, putting the Sord family in the restaurant business for three generations.

The grand opening is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 24, when children 8 and under will receive gift certificates for kids' meals.
